Last Will and Testament of Nicholas Feldwick
This is the last will and testament of me Nicholas Feldwick of Merstham in the county of Surrey, yeoman, first I direct that all my just debts and funeral and testamentary expences be paid and discharged by my Executors herein named within six months after my decease and I do hereby nominate, constitute and appoint my son James Feldwick and my grandson Robert Roffey joint Executors of this my last will and testament and do hereby give and bequeath unto my said Executors the sum of ten pounds a piece for their trouble also I give and bequeath unto my said Executor James Feldwick the further sum of fifty pounds as a legacy. I give and bequeath unto my said Executors James Feldwick and Robert Roffey and the survivor of them and the Executor or administrator of such survivor the sum of sixty pounds to be placed out on such security as they approve of upon this trust and confidence that either of my Executors or the survivor of them or the Executor or administrator of such survivor do and shall pay unto my grandson Stephen Morris the sum of three pounds yearly and every year during the term of his natural life by equal yearly payments and after his decease to pay unto the children of the said Stephen Morris the said sixty pounds in equal shares as they severally and respectively attain the age of twenty one years with such interest as may be due to the same. I give and bequeath unto my daughter Sarah wife of James Stone the interest of three hundred pounds the said interest of the said three hundred pounds not to commence untill one year after my decease and then to be paid to Sarah wife of James Stone and her receipt to be a discharge for the same and after the decease of Sarah Wife of James Stone I direct that the said sum of three hundred pounds be equally divided to Ann, Sarah and Thomas Haggett share and share alike children of Sarah wife of James Stone and I give and bequeath unto my two sons William Feldwick and James Feldwick and my four daughters Mary Burgess widow Ann Russell widow Jane Roffey wife of William Roffey and Prisilla Page wife of Thomas Page all the rest of my personal estate and effects whatsoever and wheresoever and what nature or kind soever I direct that the same shall be paid to my said six last mentioned children within six months after my decease share and share alike subject to all my just debts funeral and testamentary expences and the aforesaid legacies and lastly I do revoke all former wills by me made and published and declare this to be my last will and testament in witness whereof I the said Nicholas Feldwick have hereunto set my hand and seal this 24th day of April in the year of our Lord 1806 Nicholas Feldwick X his mark signed sealed published and declared by the above named Nicholas Feldwick the testator as and for his last will and testament in the presence of us who in his presence at his request in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our names as witnesses thereto – John Moore – Jonathan Southley – Richard Moore
Proved at London 6th November 1810 before the worshipful Charles Coote Dr of Laws and surrogate by the oaths of James Feldwick the Son and Robert Roffey the Grandson and Executors sworn to administer
